Chloe and James' Wedding

My friends Chloe and James Wagstaff (or as I like to call them, The Waggy's) got married way back on the 29th March! I haven't been able to post anything before then due to them being on their honeymoon and not wanting to leak any of their photos before they'd had a chance to see them! They already had a wedding photographer but after seeing some of my photos (and me being a guest anyway!), they asked me to take some sneaky shots of them throughout the day. Sooo, these are a few of what I ended up with :) Yes I know they aren't the best quality as they came out really grainy, but I know it was because I had my iso too high boohoo! Since then I have learned so much more! I really like some of the moments I've captured, I just need to work on the quality of the image now!

And just so you know what I wore on the day...

Blue Lace Dress - Miss Selfridge

Nude Shoes - River Island
Blue Necklace - New Look
Blue Bag - Most Marvellous
Nude Belt - New Look

The first photo is of me and my boyfriend taken by someone else, so not great quality! Doesn't Dan look dapper though! I even asked him to match me with his tie colour which looks awesome. The second is just me in my room to show you in better resolution. I loved this dress so much when I saw it in store, but it was quite expensive at £39. So when there was a flash sale and I found an extra 10% off code online, I had to order it! I got it for £26 in the end :) Very happy! As I love this colour I already had some blue accessories to throw in, and some nude heels and belt so as not to overdo it!

Hope you guys like my photos and my wedding outfit! I can't wait to attend the next!

Hexton Manor

My friend Charlotte came to visit this weekend! After a great day out in London on Saturday, we decided to take a trip to Hexton Manor for an alternative wedding fair that we saw advertised. The fair was quite small but there were some really interesting stalls and businesses taking part. They were all really eclectic and had some great alternative ideas to that of a traditional fair. After looking around the stalls and speaking with a few of the businesses, we decided to take a walk around the Manor itself. It was beautiful and a great place to get married, it has beautiful scenic gardens with some lovely places for some wedding photos to take place. We decided to use these to take some outfit shots, and generally just mess around....
 I am wearing:

Blue Floral Maxi Dress - a perk of working for a clothing design company!
Grey jersey cardigan - F&F at Tesco!
Nude Shoes - River Island
Blue Bag - Most Marvellous
Yep so I got this dress for free because its a design sample from my work... sorry guys! I love it so so much though and wanted you to see it! Just shows that the supermarkets don't buy the best samples from us because it costs them too much! It was a size 12 but I took it in at the sides and how its perfect. Its lovely and light, soft material and the colour is just so amazingly blue. Just pops out at you!

I had a great day with Charlotte, Aimee and Grace, hanging out like crazy people as usual! I shot a sort of mini photo shoot of Charlotte before we went out too which I will post up here soon! She looks so amazing but doesn't believe me when I tell her she's beautiful! Anyway, until next time guys!

Electric Blue

Hello all!

So what did I buy at the Most Marvellous place to shop in my last post?? Well the first one, of course, was this beautiful, vintage handbag.
It is electric blue suede and has quite a lovely long shoulder strap which lets the bag sit happily at my hip. I am in love with it at the moment and keep wearing it with a monochrome outfit to gift it a lift. Its such a great highlight colour. For £7 in most marvellous, it had to be mine!

My next purchase was from a charity shop in Northampton, a long gold chain necklace with a large amber pendant, set in an elaborate gold casing.
Now Grace had bought me a beautiful amber bracelet for Christmas (which I must show you!) and since then I have loved the stone and its colour. So when I saw this necklace I simply had to have it, and it was only £1.99, boom.
The amber colour of the necklace really pops against the blue suede, nice.
Now this purchase wasn’t from the charity shops in Northampton, but I ordered it from online when I got home. It is a lovely lacey electric blue dress from Miss Selfridge. As I said, loving the colour! I was planning on wearing it with the blue bag to an upcoming wedding! So when it arrived and fitted beautifully I was over the moon! Plus I got it on a discount so instead of paying £39 for it, I got it for £26 including delivery. Pretty happy with that! Im thinking of teaming it with nude heels and a nude belt. What do you think?

I hope you have enjoyed viewing my recent purchases and have had an amazing weekend.

Houghton House

 Dress - Amptill Antiques Emporium
Necklace - Susan Chaplain for Asos
Shoes - River Island
Coat - Zara
Fur Stole - H&M

So where am I? I'm at Houghton House in Amptill, just down the road from the Antiques Emporium actually! It used to be a huge and beautiful hunting lodge back in the 17th Century, that was until the owner died and the building was bought and dismantled. Its such a shame because what remains is so beautiful, the original house would have been outstanding. I thought that I would wear my new white dress, as a simple outfit, hopefully allowing my surroundings to stand out. I do love the simplicity of this dress, with its clean pleats and neat collar embroidery. I hope you love it too!
