Just a typical Saturday!
Hi guys!
I have been naughty and not posted for a while! Just thought I'd gently get you back into the swing of things with a post on just a typical Saturday in my world.
When my boyfriend isn't around, the first thing I want to do is go vintage or charity shop shopping (mainly because he dislikes it!!!) The closest and funnest place to go at the moment is Hitchin, a small market town near where I live. My friend Grace lives there which makes it even more tempting! So me and Grace and my sister Aimee all met up and first off we visited a new vintage/antique store which has popped up recently. It is quite near to the market but I am not sure of the name. It stocks tonnes of antique furniture (which I vow to have in my very own house one day!), some vintage clothing and antiquey nicknacks.
I didn't end up buying anything in the vintage shop this time (usually I do!) but Grace bought a cute heart necklace and a furry black stole! I'm wearing it in the next photo! We then had a short lunch break in Cafe Rouge, which was amazing. My favourite thing to order is a Croque Monsieur mmmmm! Now the first photo is actually me outside a sexy looking Bistro! But hey it looked good with this photo of me in Cafe Rouge...
Nearby to the previously mentioned Bistro, is a quaint little bookshop which Grace and Aimee absolutely love!! I like it cos I can get some cute vintage books on sewing or 1940's film stars or something. They literally have everything! I love the backdrop that the books create, so higgledy piggledy and colourful.
It was such a beautiful day that we all decided to have a walk in the woods near Grace's house. Now this is not always included in a typical day due to the weather, but on such a day as this it was necessary! Grace got some super cute photos of me looking rather happy in my outfit!

Aspirations of Photography
Hi everyone!
As you guys know, I love taking photos (as well as posing for them!) I have always loved photography since studying it alongside fashion in college, but I had never considered it as something I could do as a career. Since my friend Grace starting taking up wedding photography, she has always encouraged me to come along and assist her so she could get different camera angles throughout the day. I love it. I have never felt so elated trying to capture details, emotions and expressions throughout the day. I'm starting to think this is something that I could really dedicate myself to.
I am also beginning to organise mini photo shoots, just to practise and build up my skills. Luckily my friends don't mind being my subjects! I love the editing process of photography possibly just as much as taking the photos. I find it very therapeutic, going through and choosing the best, taking away a blemish here and there, or enhancing the colour. I work with Photoshop and Illustrator everyday at work which helps greatly!
So guys, here are a few of the photos that I have taken with my own camera during some of the weddings I have attended and some cute photo shoots I've held. I hope you like them and please let me know what you think!

There is a light that never goes out
Introducing my handsome friend Jamie! I met Jamie when I was at Uni in Northampton and we’ve kinda stayed in touch ever since due to us both being crazy fools and lovers of Pokemon! Check out Jamie's blog at frostbitesback. His friend Nick just bought an old creepy 1970′s house and so we thought, lets go and visit and take some photos! We took some amazingly moody photos of him, love the setting so much!
We chose this window to shoot in front of as it had a really low hanging lamp, creepy patterned curtains and some damp stains which all add to the effect don’t you think! Considering Jamie hasn’t modelled before I think he did quite well! These are my two favourites.
Obviously me and Grace had a go at modelling too. This is one of my favourite shots that I took of Grace, she looks so beautiful, and it proves that you don’t have to be in a perfect place to still look stunning.
Beautiful shot that I took of Grace spinning around, she reminds me of a moth fluttering toward the light.
Here is me doing a bit of the posing!
I am wearing:
Dress – Amptill Antiques Emporium
Necklace – New Look (old)
Hat – John Lewis (Grace’s)
Hope that you enjoy the photos, remember to check out Grace’s blog Doll with a Frown, for more beautiful images, and our website Grace and the heart for more of our photography! What do you think of our photos?

Electric Blue
Hello all!
So what did I buy at the Most Marvellous place to shop in my last post?? Well the first one, of course, was this beautiful, vintage handbag.
It is electric blue suede and has quite a lovely long shoulder strap which lets the bag sit happily at my hip. I am in love with it at the moment and keep wearing it with a monochrome outfit to gift it a lift. Its such a great highlight colour. For £7 in most marvellous, it had to be mine!
I hope you have enjoyed viewing my recent purchases and have had an amazing weekend.

My next purchase was from a charity shop in Northampton, a long gold
chain necklace with a large amber pendant, set in an elaborate gold
casing.
Now Grace had bought me a beautiful amber bracelet for Christmas (which I must show you!) and since then I have loved the stone and its colour. So when I saw this necklace I simply had to have it, and it was only £1.99, boom.

The amber colour of the necklace really pops against the blue suede, nice.
Now this purchase wasn’t from the charity shops in Northampton, but I
ordered it from online when I got home. It is a lovely lacey electric
blue dress from Miss Selfridge. As I said, loving the colour! I was
planning on wearing it with the blue bag to an upcoming wedding! So when
it arrived and fitted beautifully I was over the moon! Plus I got it on
a discount so instead of paying £39 for it, I got it for £26 including
delivery. Pretty happy with that! Im thinking of teaming it with nude
heels and a nude belt. What do you think?I hope you have enjoyed viewing my recent purchases and have had an amazing weekend.

Most Marvellous
Hello everyone and welcome to the Most Marvellous Place To Shop!
So a couple of weekends ago now, me and Grace headed up to Northampton, where I used to go to uni. We went first off to see my old friends Jamie and Joey (Jamie’s the one in the photo below, Joey hates having his photo taken). The other thing we wanted to do was have fun in Most Marvellous! They stock items from different sellers, so from people who craft their own items, to vintage goods that are being sold on, such as furniture, clothing, kitchenware, old records… its amazing!
As you all know I am always found in the vintage clothing section!!
I honestly can never control myself when around cute things, especially adorable knitted ducks with hats!!
Crochet Top – Zara
Skater Skirt – River Island
Blazer – Zara
Necklace – New Look
Bag – Just found it in Most Marvellous!!
Shoes – Debanhams
Fur Stole – Amptill Antiques Emporium

Yeah can you tell I was taken with the little suede electric blue handbag? Yeah so I might have bought it...
It was a wonderful day out with my friends, we went for a bit of charity shopping after too and I bought some more goodies! I will post them on here at some point! I hope you have enjoyed my photos as much as the time we had taking them. I highly recommend a good visit to Most Marvellous as it is different every time and you never know what you’re gonna find in that Aladdin’s cave of vintage and craft!
