Amptill Antiques Emporium

What a post I have in store for you today! Its a bit late, but the other weekend, me and my best buds drove up to Amptill to check out the Amptill Antiques Emporium! I know, the name gets me all crazy excited. I hadn't been there since I were young and was exactly how I had remembered it, maybe even better!
Dress - Thrift Shop
Shoes - River Island
Necklace - Susan Chaplain for Asos
Coat - Zara
Stole - H&M

I decided to dress for the occasion in an original vintage dress that I picked up in a thrift store in San Francisco! So its come quite a way! I love its pattern and its slightly dipped-at-the-sides hemline. Its made entirely of chiffon so I have to wear a slip underneath, but its worth it.
I kept the rest of my outfit pretty simple, with peach-coloured suede heels from River Island and a little turquoise charity shop purse. The only jewellery I wore is the below necklace, which everyone keeps asking is vintage, but its actually Susuan Chaplain for Asos!! £9 – I had to buy it!
Some of the goodies we found inside include a lamp held up by a harpoon man, some bookends of a ship cut in half, some weird but cute figurines, and an incredibly expensive burgundy bag (OMG if only it wasn’t £45!!)
Whats a trip to an antiques emporium without a little dress up? There was a whole section of party dresses, and a whole section of different hats, bags, gloves etc. Was amazing! All the hats were for different professions and occasions, from a sailors hat to a fireman helmet, it was crazy!

Yes, I made some purchases, but you will have to wait to find out what they are!!! Ok so they are wearable.. that’s all you’re getting! I highly recommend a good long browse around this place, it has to be the best best best antique shop I’ve ever been too. Some things are pretty expensive but considering some of the quality, a lot of it is amazing value! I can’t wait to go again next time!

Sunshine Snow

Yellow Coat - Charity Shop
Black vest - H&M
Navy Dragonfly Skirt - ASOS
Furry Stole - H&M
Satchel Bag - Charity Shop
Necklace - Charity Shop
Hat - Accessorize
Shoes - Debanhams Red Herring

It had been a snowy, snowy few days recently, so once it had quite finished, I decided to venture out in the brightest thing I could find! This coat brightens up any outfit, and I think I'm a little in love with it! I decided to keep it simple underneath with tones of navy and black, then adding in touches of gold with my necklace, shoes and bag clasps. The coat unfortunately has a round neck with no collar, which I am not usually a fan of, so I have added on a sort of fake collar with my faux fur stole. It always seems to give an outfit a bit of a vintage touch. I wore this around town all day and I got quite a lot of glances for wearing such a bold colour.
